I really dont see what makes this logo special or worth being featured. Unfortunately that’s the case for a lot logos here :/ The lack of concepts…

A well executed logo is, sometimes, better than a “smart” one.
Well, sometimes. But well executed sometimes isn’t enough for being mentioned I’d say…
I would disagree with Michael. I think this logo is worth its place. While one would argue about its concept (or lack of) its highly functional, technically its well executed, and sometimes thats all you need.
Yeah, all you need, sure, but lets nail it, is “all you need” something for a logobook that want to publish the best of the best? I would say: No.
Personally I wouldn buy a book with logos that dont include a concept. Isn’t that what makes logo design so great? See how an idea(concept) is executed. Personally I think that is WAY more exciting then just a well executed logo… Thinking about a concept is defenetly more inspiring then looking at “well executed logos isnt it? I LOVE simple logos. Really. But as long as there is not a solid concept behind it it is just not usefull for me at all.
Thanks to all for comments.
David: Logo Nest book will have detailed concepts of winning logos, Logo of the Month and Year winners. Please if you have any comments and suggestions how to improove our first book feel free to write in post http://www.logonest.com/2009/12/we-need-your-help-and-support/
Well, if you will be publishing the concepts in your book, thats defentely a huge benefit then just showing logos like every other logo book does. Specially in this case I am really curious what the concept and the idea behind this logo was. As I said: for me, the concept behind a logo is more inspireing and worth spending time on then just looking on brandstack logos, negative space overuse logos, or “just looks good” logos. So I’ll defenetly get a logonest book when it comes out.
